ABOUT ME

I am a singer, songwriter, performer, amateur photographer, amateur fashion designer, poet, short-story writer, Language teacher, and content creator through blogs and vlogs.

I come from the tiny, beautiful Caribbean Island of Dominica, where I am known mostly for music. I go by the stage name “Navy”, though I am affectionately called “Mel” or “Mel-c”.

I have spent most of my life in the Caribbean (varying islands) and this influences my writing quite a lot. I use language however, that allows everyone to identify with and understand the culture, tradition, and heritage that oozes through whenever I write be it music, poems, stories or blogs.
